General Policy & Payment Policy

General Policy Agreement 

#1: Between The Trees Dog Training (herein known as the Trainer) will endeavour to create as safe an environment as possible for the training and/or boarding of the dog(s) identified above (herein known as the "Dog"), and will offer only sound, safe, and responsible handling and post-boarding training instructions to the owner(s)/handler(s) (herein known as the "Client"). Client agrees, however, that all animals may exhibit unpredictable behaviours and that the Trainer will not be held liable for the actions of the Dog that are outside the control of the Trainer. Client agrees that the recommendation by the Trainer of any product or service is not a guarantee of performance or the Client's satisfaction with that product or service. Client understands and agrees that not all dogs are trainable to the same extent, and that the ability to train a dog to an acceptable level of performance may be dictated by factors beyond the control of Trainer. Such factors may include, but are not limited to, age, previous conditioning, breeding, physical and psychological health, individual temperament, length of training schedule, and Client involvement. Trainer shall not be held responsible for unsatisfactory dog training performance due to limitations beyond the control of Trainer. 

#2: Client acknowledges and understands that there are certain risks involved in pet training, boarding, and care. Client releases, indemnifies, and agrees to hold Trainer harmless form and and all damages, claims, loss, liabilities, costs, or expenses, causes of actions or suits related to the services provided by the Trainer. Trainer agrees to indemnify and hold Client harmless from and against any claims of injury, expense, costs, loss, or damages caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Trainer while the Dog is in the sole custody, care, and control of the Trainer. Client acknowledges that the Trainer has no control over the Dog when the Dog is not in the exclusive custody, care, and control of the Trainer. Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Trainer harmless from and against any and all claims of injury, expense, costs, loss, or damages caused by the actions of the Dog when the Dog is not in the sole custody, care, and control of the Trainer. Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Trainer harmless from and against any claims of any injury, expense, costs, loss, or damages caused by the Dog biting, scratching, clawing, or otherwise attacking any other person or animal. Client shall be solely responsible for the health and physical condition of the Dog and specifically acknowledges such a responsibility and releases Trainer from any claim relating to the same. 

#3: The Client fully understands the tools and techniques that are used to train and modify the behaviour of the Dog and agrees to the tools and techniques which include prong collars, e collars, slip leads, martingale collars, and muzzles.

Payment Policy Agreement 

Full payment is required in advance to reserve your dog's training program. Payment can be made via cash, cheque (payable to Robyn Carney), or Interac Etransfer (sent to robyn@betweenthetreesdogtraining.com). All training programs are non-refundable.

Media Release Agreement 

I hereby assign and grant to Between The Trees Dog Training the right and permission to use, reproduce, distribute, and publish any photograph(s), audio, and video recording(s) of me and/or my dog(s) at any time during and after the training and/or boarding of my dog(s), and I hereby release Between The Trees Dog Training from any and all liability resulting from such use. I waive any right to any compensation for any of the reproduction, sale, broadcast, and distribution of any photograph(s), audio, and video recording(s) of me and/or my dog(s) at any time during and after the training program.
